कबीर दास जी समय के महत्व को बताते हुए कहते हैं कि जो कार्य कल करना है उसे आज करलो और जो आज करना है उसे अभी करलो, क्योकि हमारा जीवन बहुत छोटा है कुछ ही समय में जीवन ख़त्म हो जायेगा फिर तुम क्या कर पाओगे । अर्थात जो करना है वो जल्दी करलो वरना बाद में नही कर पाओगे।
