निंदक नियरे राखिए, आंगन कुटी छवाय ।
बिन पानी, साबुन बिना, निर्मल करे सुभाय ।।
हिन्दी अनुवाद (अर्थ) –
संत कबीरदास जी कहते है कि जो हमारी निंदा करता है, हमारी कमिया गिनाता है, हमेशा हमारे बुरे कार्यो को याद दिलाता है उसे अपने अधिक से अधिक पास ही रखना चाहिए क्योंकि वह बिना साबुन और पानी के अर्थात बिना किसी लोभ लालच के हमारी कमियां बताकर हमारे स्वभाव को साफ कर देता है। जिससे हम अपनी बुराईयों एवं गलतियों को सुधार सकते है और उन्हे ठीक कर सकते है।
निंदा एक प्रकार की बुराई ही है, जो बिना किसी को शारीरिक घात लगाये उसे अपाहिज बना देती है यह दिखाई तो नहीं देती, किन्तु होती बडी भयानक है। जब भी कोई व्यक्ति, किसी की निंदा करता है तो वह निंदा कर रहे व्यक्ति के स्वभाव व उसके दुसरों के प्रति भावना के स्तर को दर्शाती है। निंदा करना, व्यक्ति को एक कदम स्वयं के विनाश की ओर ले जाता है। निंदा करने करने और सुनने वाले दोनों ही अपराध के बराबर हिस्सेदार होते हैं। क्योंकि जब व्यक्ति पूरा आनन्द लेकर सुनता है तभी निंदा करने वाले को उसे सुनाने में आनन्द आता है और वह भी पूरे आनन्द के साथ निंदा कर पाता है।
